No. Series Links AE063

General description #

No. Series links are used to determine the connection between no. series that overrides the no. series setup for sales and purchase documents. For example for the no. series used for sales orders we can set the posting no. series that will be used when creating a posted document from the sales order.

Setup #

New action Link has been added to the page No. Series to the group Related-Series. The action opens a page No. Series links with the following settings for the selected no. series:

  • Linked No. Series
    • The no. series that will be used when creating:
      • sales order from sales quote
      • sales order from blanket sales order
      • purchase order from blanket purchase order
  • Posting No. Series
    • The no. series of posted documents
    • Can be used for no. series of:
      • sales/purchase quote
      • sales/purchase order
      • sales/purchase invoice
      • sales/purchase return order
      • sales/purchase cr. memo
  • Shipping No. Series
    • The no. series of posted shipments of sales documents
  • Receiving No. Series
    • The no. series of posted receipts of purchase documents
  • Shipping Wh. No. Series
    • The no. series of warehouse shipments
  • Receiving Wh. No. Series
    • The no. series of warehouse receipts
